Like most rabbit-holes, we stumbled into ours. During the 2010s, we met people who were fronting companies for website publishers. Their stories didn't add up, so we went on an investigative journey of reverse engineering and code analysis, which introduced us to the techniques and technologies used to defraud advertisers. What we discovered is the entire advertising ecosystem is bursting with fraud, and almost everyone is looking the other way. The people who could stop it - the regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and advertising networks - are either compromised, unqualified, or profiting from the fraud. It's a free-for-all for click fraud criminals.
Polygraph was built to deal with the reality of today's click fraud problem. We use an objective system to accurately detect even the most cutting-edge click fraud bots. This includes detecting the tricks bots use the pretend they're humans, bugs in their code, their automation signals, and much more. We don't use gimmicks like IP address blocking and scoring systems.
Once we've detected a bot, we disable it, and re-train the ad networks to send you humans instead of bots.
